The Tapuripa Special is our largest package, for families who want Maroon food on the table every week, or for a celebration. You get 2 packs of podosiri pulp, 2 packs of afiingi, 4 jars of Fon Fon Pepre and 2 packs of Pamaka kwaka. The afiingi balls thicken a fish or meat broth into the hearty soup served at every Maroon celebration. Kwaka and podosiri together are a familiar breakfast or dessert. And Fon Fon Pepre, freshly pounded dried Madame Jeanette pepper, gives every dish the real taste of home.
Use and preparation
Afiingi: bring 1000 ml of fish or meat broth to the boil, add the balls in small batches and cook each batch for 1 to 2 minutes. Kwaka: with milk and a little honey or sugar, with podosiri on the side.
